- new HDVDP Series provides ultimate performance and reliability for broadcast and production facilities -
Mesa, AZ (February 4, 2007)---Trompeter, a leading supplier of interconnect products for the broadcast television market, announced that the HDVDP and HDVDPM Patch Jack Series is now shipping in production quantities. The newest jack design for HDTV broadcast and production from Trompeter, the HDVDP and HDVDPM Series is engineered to exceed SMPTE 292M specifications for high definition video transmission and connectivity.
The normal-thru contact interface design of HDVDP/HDVDPM consists of a self-aligning normal-thru U-slot, two redundant points of contact, an independent applied normal force at each contact point, and a mechanical wipe region at each contact interface location. These design attributes provide reliable and repeatable patching/un-patching, resulting in low-level contact resistance stability.
“The new jack design is being enthusiastically received by customers, and establishes a benchmark for superior performance and robust mechanical construction, at a highly competitive price”, says Joe Norwood, president of Trompeter. “The elegant simplicity of the re-engineered design results in a product that engineers dream of in terms of reliable performance”.
Available as individual units or loaded into panels, the Trompeter video patch jack series includes the HDVDP (full size WECo) and HDVDPM (miniWECo) products, patchjack available either terminated or non-terminated.
Pricing and delivery on various jacks and panels in this series can be obtained by shopping online at www.trompeter.com or by calling the factory at 800-982-2629.
This enhanced series is the latest addition to Trompeter's line of high definition transmission line network products and solutions that includes the UPL2000 digital video BNC connector, video patch cords, HD looping plugs, coax cable assemblies, tools and related accessories. These products will be on display at the company’s booth at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Convention in Las Vegas from April 14-19, 2007, booth C1930.
